The first time you turn on your heater it is common to smell a burning smell as the electric heat strips will burn off the lint and dust that accumulate on the strips. With Thanksgiving around the corner, you should also test your oven now to make sure it is operating correctly. If you notice any problems with your oven then put a service request for that also.
